Application

1. Due by 17:00 on Wednesday, October 15, 2025.
2. Fill out the online application form completely; the NSO will send a confirmation e-mail within two business days of receiving the application.
3. Application fee: NTD$500; the NSO confirmation e-mail will contain an account number for submitting the application fee. Please submit the application fee within three business days of receiving the confirmation e-mail. No refunds of the application fee.
4. Applicants who will be under 18 years of age by October 15, 2025, must submit a letter of consent from their guardian. (Please see the attachment below.)

Auditions

1. Applicants must prepare a 5-minute excerpt from a solo piece or concerto, with or without piano accompaniment, and select orchestra repertoire excerpts.
2. On-site auditions will be held on October 25 and 26 in Taipei, and November 9 in Kaohsiung. The auditions schedule will be announced after the application deadline. Those who are unable to attend an on-site audition may submit a video recording for their audition.
3. Video audition: recordings must be one continuous take; no editing is allowed. First, perform the required repertoire excerpts, followed by a five-minute self-chosen piece excerpt. Both sections must be recorded in full. Please state your name and instrument at the start of the recording. Upload your completed recording to YouTube, set  the video visibility to "Unlisted", and send the link to nsyo@mail.npac-ntch.org before October 31, 2025. You may submit the application form first, before the video audition.

Audition Results

To be announced on November 18, 2025. Selected applicants will be notified by November 20, 2025.

Fee

NT$25,000 (includes tuition fee, accommodations, three meals per day, and transportation for the rehearsals period and concert tour)

Grant Aid and Scholarship

A grant can be specially provided by the NSO to those in need. The application instructions will be provided separately to the selected applicants.
