Su holds a master degree from Boston University and bachelor of music from New England Conservatory of Music.

She won first place in the International Society of Bassists Solo Competition, second place in the Berlin Bass2010 International Solo Competition, and first place in the Pittsburgh Double Bass Symposium Concerto Competition.

Su has also won first place in the Music Teachers National Association of Young Artist Competition, the New England Conservatory of Music Concerto Competition, and the Interlochen Arts Academy and Interlochen Arts Camp Concerto Competition.

She has participated as principal and assistant principal at Verbier Music Festival and Schleswig Music Festival.

Su has also given master classes and recitals at Beijing Conservatory of Music, Shanghai Conservatory of Music, and Louisiana State University of Music.
