Ms. Chou earned her Bachelor of Music from the Peabody Conservatory of Music, Johns Hopkins University, where she was awarded the prestigious Asger Hamerik and Sidney Lanier Scholarship, and completed her Master of Music from Washington State University with a full Teaching Assistantship. Her accolades include First Prizes at the 1991 Wurlitzer Collegiate Audition, the Northwest Division of the Music Teachers National Association, as well as the Gold Medal at the 1992 Greater Spokane Music and Allied Arts Festival. She has frequently served as a judge for music competitions, university admissions auditions, and doctoral qualification reviews. Chou is currently an adjunct professor at the National Taiwan University of Arts, Soochow University and Taipei University. In addition to teaching and orchestral performances, she regularly presents solo recitals and cello ensembles concerts.
