Ya-Han Huang

Ya-Han Huang

Ya-Han Huang graduated from the Taipei National University of the Arts, where he studied under Professors Yi-Wen Chao and Chun-Heng Ho. He later earned a Master’s degree in performance from the New England Conservatory in the United States, studying with Cathy Basrak and Mai Motobuchi. He is currently pursuing a doctoral degree at the Taipei National University of the Arts.

He participated in the Karen Tuttle Viola Workshop and has received guidance from renowned artists including Hsin-Yun Huang, Kim Kashkashian, Paul Silverthorne, and Carol Rodland.

In 2010, he was awarded a scholarship to attend the Bowdoin Music Festival; in 2011, he was accepted into the Asian Youth Orchestra; and in 2013, he performed in Israel as principal violist with the NTUA Orchestra. After returning to Taiwan, he held multiple solo and chamber music recitals and was selected as a soloist in the 2018 O-Bank Young Artist Stars Project. He currently serves as principal violist of the Taipei Philharmonic Youth Orchestra and teaches at the Da’an Junior High School String Orchestra and the music program of Wuling Senior High School in Taoyuan.
