HORN Assistant Principal
Jen-Hsien Huang
Jen-Hsien Huang graduated from the National Taiwan Normal University and studied under Prof. Steve Dsuan. He was the principal horn of the school orchestra. He later went to Eastman School of Music in the U.S.A. to obtain a Master of Music and studied under Prof. Peter Kurau.
He won first place in French Horn at the National Student Music Competition. He has received guidance from masters such as Steven Dohr, Radek Baborák, Martin Hackleman, Thomas Bacon, and Douglas Hill.
He has held many chamber music concerts and has been invited to perform Mahler's Second Symphony with the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra. He was also invited by Yamaha to hold a master class in Bangkok. Currently, he teaches at the Taipei Youth Wind Ensemble, Taipei Philharmonic Band, and the Ministry of National Defense Symphonic Band. He is now the Assistant Principal Horn of the National Symphony Orchestra.
