Yu-Fei Lin

YUFEI (*1994) was born in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. She graduated from the University of Music Saar (Saarbrücken, Germany), received Flute Soloist Diploma with best note (2021) and Master degree (2019) with Prof. Gaby Pas-Van Riet (former Principle Flute SWR Symphony Orchestra) and Piccolo studied with Birgit Engelhardt (former solo Piccolo Deutsche Radio Philharmonie). YUFEI studied Bachelor of Music at the Taipei National University of the Arts with Prof. Man-Nong Fan. During her studies, she has also joined many Master classes, i.e. Peter-Lukas Graf, Vincent Lucas, Tatjana Ruhland, Loïc Schneider, Carlos Bruneel, Jean-Louis Beaumadier, Sanqing Chen, Yong Ma, Seiya Ueno, Gary Schocker, Stephanie Winker, Grigory Mordashov.

YUFEI has won many International and National awards, such as the second prize at International Flute Competition Ferdinand W. Neess in 2022 (Wiesbaden, Germany), the second prize at Hong Kong International Flute Competition in 2019, the second prize at Dutch International Flute Competition in 2017 (Netherlands) and the first prize at Taiwan Flute Competition which was held by the KHS music foundation in 2015.

YUFEI is active as the solo flutist, the chamber musician and the orchestra player.

She played with the pianist Sergei Babayan and Mannheimer Philharmoniker in 2022 (Germany). She has been invited to play at the 5th and 6th Taiwan International Flute Festival, played Joachim Andersen “Deuxième Morceau de Concert Op. 61” with Evergreen Symphony Orchestra. In 2019 she joined the flute ensemble ‘’Joueurs de Flûte’’. She has been played as an assist flute with Evergreen Symphony Orchestra (Taiwan) and Guiyang Symphony Orchestra (China). Now she is playing as flute also piccolo at the National Symphony Orchestra (Taiwan Philharmonic).
