Yi-Chun Chen completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Violin Performance at Taipei National University of the Arts, studied with Nancy Tsung in 2002, and later graduated from Conservatoire National de Region-Rueil-Malmaison in France with Diplome Superieur de Concertiste and Musique de Chamber in 2004. A student of concertmaster of Nationale de Radio-France Guy Comentale, she received coaching given by esteemed violinists such as Nai-Yuan Hu, Devy Erlih, Gerard Poulet and Midori. Not only giving recitals and chamber music concerts, Chen also worked as an orchestra player, she used to hold positions of concertmaster in the Orchestra of Taipei National University of Arts and Purely Professional Orchestra in Taiwan and participated in Taiwan Youth Orchestra, touring around Southeast Asia, Europe and South Africa. Chen is a former member in the National Taiwan Symphony Orchestra, and now she is the First Violin Assistant Principal in Taiwan Philharmonic, the National Symphony Orchestra in Taiwan.
