Hsin-Chieh Tsai, whom was born in Tainan (Taiwan), learned the piano from the age of four. She first graduated from gifted music class at Fong-Shan Elementary School in Kaohsiung County then Yong-Fu Elementary School in Tainan and Da-Cheng Junior High School in Tainan. Subsequently, she passed the interview of gifted music streaming class at National Kaohsiung Municipal Senior High School, and National University of Arts. She studied under Tsung-Che Yang, Shu-Yu Wang, Wei-Che Chen, Ta-Ou Jao and many other professors.
Before long, she travelled to France for studies in Double Bass, and matriculated successfully to Conservatoire National Superieur de Musique de Paris (CNSMDP). During her time at CNSMDP, she went to Conservatoire de Musique de Geneva in Switzerland as an exchange student. Over the course of her time in Europe, she has studied under J.-P. CELEA, T. BARBE, R. MYRON, S. WIENER, F. STOOHL, B. RICHARD, C. ROBIN, P. NOHARET, T. BARBE, J. CAZAURANT, B. CAZAURANT, J.-E. BACQUET, V. PASQUIER, W. GÜTTLER, G. ETORE, F. PETRACCHI and many other professors.
She draws on deep experience in playing in European orchestras which include Orchestre Francais des jeunes, Orchestre des Concerts du Lamoureux, and Lucerne Festial Academy, performed with many international-level conductors, such as Krivin, Casadesus, Nelson, Yosaka SADO, Kurt MASUR, and Pierre BOULEZ etc..
In 2005, she passed an entrance exam in National Symphony Orchestra (NSO) in Taiwan, and then completed the studies of CNSMDP in France in 2006.
Currently, she plays her regular performance at NSO in routine for work while serving as a teacher in the National Taichung University of Education, National Taitung University, and primary and secondary schools in Taiwan. In addition, she devotes to diversified performance and is willing to attempt any cross- boundary, non-classical performances domestically and abroad.
Now she is studying in NTU specs and conducting of master in ecole normal.
