Hang-fat SHIU is the Co Principal Trombone of the National Symphony Orchestra of Taiwan. He won a full scholarship to studied in the Cleveland Institute of Music for the mater degree in trombone performance and became the first Chinese who has a master degree in trombone performance.

Mr. Shiu is an active soloist, recitalist, educator and chamber music performer. He is currently on the faculty of The Chinese Culture University ,the Shih Chien Universityand ‘the Taipei American School,his students now occupy posts with many major symphony orchestras in Asia. He has also given master classes throughout Asia and has toured extensively as a master teacher and recitalist.He has performed as soloist with several leading concert bands from Hong Kong. In the past few years he had been performed in Bangkok, Jeju, Macau and Hong Kong as a soloist.
