Jiachi Huang is characterized by critics as elegant, virtuosic and enthusiastic. A Taiwanese violinist, Ms. Huang has been awarded grand prizes in numerous competitions in the USA and Asia, having appeared as a soloist with National Symphony Orchestra, New World Symphony, New Haven Symphony, Asian Youth Orchestra and Taipei Symphony Orchestra.
As a recipient of both Chang Rong-Fa Foundation Music Scholarship and the Stauffer Grant from Juilliard, Ms. Huang received her bachelor degree from the Juilliard School and master degree from Yale University. Upon graduation, she joined New World Symphony in Florida, USA working under Artistic Director Michael Tilson Thomas. Ms. Huang has been performing in music festivals as a soloist, chamber musician, concertmaster, as well as orchestra section member including the Norfolk Music Festival, Spoleto Music Festival (USA & Italy), Pacific Music Festival, Austria AIMS Music Festival and many others providing her the opportunity to tour extensively throughout the world. Between 1995 and 2006, she was invited to join the performing violin faculty at Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp in Michigan. In 2000, she received the Outstanding Young Musician Award from Taiwan and gave solo recitals throughout the country. She has also served as adjudicator at the 68th Hong Kong Schools Music Festival in 2016. Since the summer of 2002, she has been a regular performing member in the Lancaster Music Festival in Ohio, USA.
Ms. Huang is currently a member of the first violin section in Taiwan Philharmonic Orchestra.
