Yi-Hsien Lin

Yi-Hsien Lin was born in Tainan, Taiwan 1980. Miss Lin began her cello lesson at the age of eight. She graduated in music class as a cello major from Taiwan Provinicial Tainan Girls Senior High School. In 1998 she was accepted at the Universität Für Musik und darstellende Kunst Wien and studied with Prof. Valentin Erben. She earned her Master's Degree in Performance at 2005. Since 2006 she became a member of National Symphony Orchestra of Taiwan. During 1998-2003, she was invited to be a orchestra section member in the Jeuness Musicales World Orchestra, Schleswig Holstein Festival and the Pacific Music Festival. She also attended music camps, held by cellist Miklós Perényi, Micheal Sanderling, Wen-Sinn Yang and Tchaikovsky prize winner Arto Noras and Gustav Rivirus. In 2005 she was invited to participate in Internationaler Musikwettbewerb der ARD München (ARD Music Competition).
