How many ways are there to read or recite a poem? Crimson Hall Poetry Society’s poetry performance will surprise and move you with their precision and multiple means of artistic expressions, expanding the possibilities of poems and recitals. Setting out from Meng-tieh CHOU’s Land of Solitude, the performance is a gripping theatre of modern poetry: the king remains silent. Perhaps his solitude is only play-acting? Yet the player is not the only one subject to the rule of the game; how much struggle and resignation is there in the discrepancy between ideal and reality? In this performance, the audience will see how poems from home and abroad respond to each other. We will listen to how the lines weave like sounds, enjoy the ingenious interactions between literary and musical masterpieces. NSO and the Crimson Hall Poetry Society invite you to this evening of poems and music with sparkling creativity and depth.
