Setting out from Meng-tieh CHOU’s Land of Solitude, the performance is a gripping theatre of modern poetry: the king remains silent. Perhaps his solitude is only play-acting? Yet the player is not the only one subject to the rule of the game; how much struggle and resignation is there in the discrepancy between ideal and reality? In this performance, the audience will see how poems from home and abroad respond to each other.
