JOHANNES BRAHMS: Piano Trio No. 1
Sextet for Strings, No.2, Op.36, G major

Brahms' works are always intriguing and touching, full of sentiment and emotion. Piano Trio No. 1 is the first published chamber work by the 21-year-old Brahms. At the beginning, Brahms's tenderness can be immediately felt. String Sextet No. 2 is regarded as one of the most outstanding works of its kind. In this piece, Brahms calls for his lover, Agathe, who exchanged rings with him. Though remaining single for the entire life, Brahms’s affections are conveyed in this piece.
